HCT Renewable Energy is a staffing and recruiting company focused in the renewables sector of the energy industry. They are based in Round Rock, Texas and provide staffing for solar energy farm construction projects. They serve both employers and employees by providing workforce solutions to companies and placing personnel within renewables projects. HCT’s CEO Carl Miller formed the company in 2021 after selling his previous solar project staffing company HCS Renewable Energy in 2019. With HCT Renewable Energy being a newer brand, they needed a strong logo that aligned with their brand’s identity, communicated their brand’s personality and strengthened their brand’s position in the staffing and energy industries.
Challenge
HCT required a logo that would:
- Give a visual representation of the company, building upon their equity.
- Be a sleek and professional logo to be used in various deliverables and through various channels online.
- Speak to their two main target audiences. The logo needed to speak to both employers looking for renewable project personnel and employees looking to work in solar energy farm construction.
- Be easy to implement within the brand’s new website, stationary and social channels.

- Customized Font: The font is custom, which makes the logo feel as unique as the brand is.
- Unique and Easily Identifiable Submark: Alongside the brand’s name, a submark appears. This submark references solar and renewable energy in its symbolism. It’s also a versatile piece of the logo, which can be reused in many deliverables.
- Industry-Specific Symbolism: The logo’s submark symbolizes a sun, water and a windmill in its shape. This reflects HCT’s involvement in the renewable energy

Since creating HCT’s logo in early 2024, the logo:
- Won a coveted B2B marketing industry award: HCT’s logo earned the Logo Design Award of Excellence in the Corporate category at the 2024 Houston Business Marketing Alliance Lantern Awards (BMAs). This award recognized the logo’s visual strength and effectiveness amongst the many B2B marketing agency entries submitted to the competition.
- Is being implemented into brand collateral: The logo is currently being implemented into HCT’s stationary and their new website as it develops.
- Strengthened the brand across digital channels: Today, HCT’s logo is being utilized across all digital channels, including their social media and website.
