Experience: 8-10+ years

We are seeking an experienced and dependable Senior Bookkeeper / Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have 8–10+ years of hands-on accounting and bookkeeping experience and be comfortable managing day-to-day accounting functions with accuracy and minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day bookkeeping and accounting activities
• Maintain accurate general ledger accounts and financial records
• Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable
• Prepare bank and credit-card reconciliations
• Prepare monthly financial statements
• Prepare and review journal entries and account reconciliations
• Monitor cash flow and assist with budgeting and financial analysis
• Assist with payroll and related accounting records, as applicable
• Support tax preparation and provide information to outside accountants as needed
• Maintain organized and accurate financial documentation
• Identify discrepancies and resolve accounting issues in a timely manner

Qualifications

• Minimum 8–10+ years of accounting/bookkeeping experience
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial statements
• Experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks or similar systems
• Strong Excel/spreadsheet skills
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• CPA license is not required

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience overseeing or handling the full accounting cycle
• Experience working with small or mid-sized businesses
• Experience preparing financial statements and management reports
